ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Golf Championship

July 7 – July 9: Bootleg Gap Golf – Kimberley, BC

Every year since the founding of BGC, the Canadian Open Blind Golf Championship has grown. Thanks to ISPS Handa, we have been able to inclusively host our events. The events have also grown in size, and scale, and as we develop our programs and offerings we will continue to focus on the four (4) pillars of blind golf: Equality, Diversity, Fellowship, and Charity.

Blind Golf Canada (BGC), the Western Canadian Blind Golf Association (WCBGA) and BC Blind Golf (BCBG) are excited to be hosting the 2024 ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Golf Championship and the 2024 Mutual Fire Insurance Western Canadian Blind Golf Championship this coming July in the East Kootenays. Our biggest international tournament and championship ever, and we want you to be part of it.

Some highlights include:

  • Accommodations and two (2) days play at Bootleg Gap Golf in Kimberley, BC
  • Charity Awareness & Fundraising Scramble during the opening practice round of the ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Golf Championship
  • Competitive, and recreational divisions and play
  • Transportation to and from the event, and the golf courses included
  • Sponsorship opportunities ranging from Hole, to Platinum, to Marquee
  • Awards, honourable recognitions, and prizes
  • Practice round where coaches can play alongside their blind golfer

Mutual Fire Insurance Western Canadian Blind Golf Championship

July 10 – July 12: St. Eugene Golf Resort – Cranbrook, BC

The Western Canadian Blind Golf Association (WCBGA) has been waiting for some time to host this world-class event again, and 2024 is the year the WCBGA gets to kick it all off with one of the premier sponsors, Mutual Fire Insurance. Come enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery Canada has to offer. This is the second event, in a 6-day blind golf championship series that will leave you breathless.

Some highlights include:

  • Accommodations and two (2) days play at St. Eugene Resort Golf Club in Cranbrook, BC
  • Competitive division, and team-recreational division play
  • Practice round where coaches can play alongside their blind golfer
  • Sponsorship opportunities ranging from Hole, to Platinum, to Marquee
  • Awards, honourable recognitions, and prizes

As always BGC, and WCBGA will be offering all competitive divisions, as well as the ability to compete in more recreational divisions, or in the new B4 division we have been, and are reviewing currently from 2023-2026.

BGC Junior Golf Clinic

June 16 – June 18, 2024 in beautiful Charlottetown, PEI at the Belvedere Golf Club.

Over 100 years ago the Charlottetown Golf Club was formed, now officially named Belvedere. BGC is pleased to be part of this opportunity to introduce blind golf to blind and vision impaired youth. The clinic will provide equipment that can be used, golf balls, instruction and coaching, as well as the opportunity to play some holes. There will be no charge to the participants. Parents, or authorized family members, must attend with the  new blind golfer.

Ontario Blind Golf (OBG) Provincial Championship

August 12 – August 14 or August 19 – August 21: Perth, Ontario *To be confirmed

OBG, Canada’s largest and oldest provincial blind golf charity, is proud to host the Provincial Blind Golf Championship in Perth, Ontario in 2024. Blind golfers from across Canada, North America, and internationally are invited to attend this three (3) day event. The longest running, blind golf championship in Canada.
